My journey didn’t begin in a kart at five years old or with a family background in racing. It began on the first day of driver’s education. The moment I got behind the wheel, I knew driving would become a defining part of my life.

I bought a racing simulator and quickly became obsessed with racing. That passion led me to engineering, where I immersed myself in suspension, powertrains, and vehicle dynamics. I eventually took a risk, rented a Formula car for racing school, graduated at the top of my class, and won all nine of my first races—often against more experienced drivers in significantly faster cars.

That was when I knew I had to find out how far I could take this.

I took out a personal loan to purchase my Formula 2000 and began building a racing career entirely on my own. On my first test day, I broke the Waterford Hills Raceway lap record on an old engine and worn tires, then went on to win my first SCCA National F2000 race.

Since then, the journey has been anything but easy. My car has suffered repeated failures from problems left by previous owners, including two suspension failures from improper repairs and multiple engine failures from poor maintenance. Those issues have caused DNFs that don't reflect my pace. Despite them, I've won nearly half of my races and earned a podium in nearly 90%.

At my most recent race, I finished third while down more than 20 horsepower. Immediately afterward, my engine finally gave out—just after I qualified for the SCCA National Championship.

I've kept this dream alive on an engineer's salary and without a single at-fault incident, but I've reached the point where determination alone isn't enough. Without support to rebuild my engine, I won't be able to compete for the Championship.
